As usual brothers I’m a bit behind on this post. As you can see in the minutes of the meeting we are gearing up for a busy spring. The officers of the council are still in the process of figuring out what if any changes are needed to try and fulfill the Supreme Knights vision of more parish involvement. I am hoping the Fish Bake on the 18th is a good start. If anyone has suggestions, please don’t hesitate to bring them to a meeting.
It was pointed out to me recently, that several men have been inquiring as to how they can become more spiritually involved. Our council currently does not have any means doing so. I can urge you all to attend the Men’s conference, or the Malvern Retreat weekend (the weekend of Palm Sunday), and let you know there has been a Men’s bible study group that meets Friday mornings at 6:30 a.m. and has been doing so for over 10 years. We are in discussion about the possibility of changing the day and time, and I’ll keep you updated on that.
I need to apologize for some billing issues. The Supreme website is having issues and they are working to correct them as quickly as possible. Hopefully everyone will soon receive their dues request. Thank you for your understanding.
With the schedule ahead, I am going to ask for your help. The next 2 weekends we will be selling candy after Masses, help if you can. The ARC fundraiser needs your help! The dates this year are May 5, 6 and 7. Volunteer 2 hours of your time on one of these dates, help us support those with special needs.
The last weekend in May we will be saying the Rosary prior to all Masses again. We are looking for individuals/families to lead the Rosary. It’d be nice to see some new faces up there.
One last call out…if anyone is interested in any of the officer positions, please make one of the current officers aware of your desire. The council needs fresh faces to help it run better!
